Devonport Christian School values the contribution of the many volunteers that assist us in the classrooms, at working bees and in the day to day running of the school.

Devonport Christian School is a child protecting school and has a zero tolerance of child abuse.

We have established a series of policies, procedures and a Code of Conduct aimed to protect children from abuse and embed a culture of child safety in the school environment. A Working with Vulnerable Person's Check is a condition of all employees, parent helpers and volunteers. Volunteers are required to pass through the school's screening processes prior to commencing their engagement with the school. This includes an induction process that informs about the school's statement on Child Protection, reference checking and a Working with Vulnerable Persons card.
